Anyone can take the examination. You need not be a graduate or have any other qualification. However, the candidates aspiring to pursue a post graduate course, a PhD, etc. are advised to take The GRE.

GRE Scores are valid for a total of five years from the day of the GRE exam. Your IELTS Band Scores are valid for a total of two years from the day of the results.
You can retake the GRE every 21 days, up to 5 times in a calendar year, with no lifetime limit on the number of attempts.
It is better to take GRE while you are in the first or the second year of your under graduate program.
