IELTS Academic & IELTS General Test Format:

Reading: 40 Questions - 60 Minutes
The Reading module tests your comprehension skills by presenting a variety of academic and general passages. You will be challenged to identify the main idea, supporting details, and specific information within the passages through a range of question formats. Academic Reading will have only 3 passages. Two passages will have 13 questions each, while one passage will have 14 questions. In General Reading, the candidates are given 3 sections, each having 13 or 14 questions. However, two sections may have more than one passage each.
