Listening: 40 Questions - 30 minutes Approx. The first module in IELTS is Listening. There are 4 parts of 10 questions each. This module evaluates your ability to comprehend spoken English in various accents and contexts through lectures, conversations, monologues, etc. You will be required to answer the questions in a letter, a word and/ or a number. You will be asked to answer multiple-choice questions, short answer questions and fill in the blanks based on the played recordings.

You only get a chance to listen once to the recording. So make sure you prepare the questions well and that you concentrate. You will have time to transfer your answers to the answer sheet when you have finished listening. During the offline test, you will have an extra 10 minutes to transfer your answer to the answer sheet.
