At Global Course, we provide online live coaching for SAT. Situated at Goregaon West - Malad West, Mumbai, India, Global Course has been providing SAT online coaching in small batches of four students only. The online live classes are normally held through Google Meet. Since our batch size is small, we are able to ensure individual attention and high scores. Reading & Writing Section SAT has a total of 54 questions, out which only 50 questions are scored and the remain 4 questions are Pretest Questions which are included for experimental purpose are not scored. Each question is based on a short passage, some notes, a table or a graph and has four answer choices, from which only one option is correct. This section is designed to evaluate candidates' ability to understand the meaning of different contexts and their associated terms with meaning and to comprehend written text and extract the required information from the graph given.

Sections of The Question in the SAT Reading & Writing
  • Craft and Structure:
    Candidates will be assessed for their comprehension, vocabulary, analysis, synthesis, and reasoning skills and knowledge to understand and use high - utility words and phrases in the given context. They would also be required to evaluate texts rhetorically and make logical connections between topically related texts.
  • Information & Ideas:
    Candidates will be required to use comprehension, analysis, reasoning skills, knowledge and the ability to locate, interpret, evaluate, and integrate information and ideas from the given texts and tables or graphs. The given graph may be a line graph, a bar graph, a pie chart, etc.
  • Standard English Conventions:
    Students will be expected to use editing skills and knowledge to make the given text conform to core conventions of Standard English sentence structure, usage, punctuation, etc. The skills tested are based on grammar studied in high school.
  • Expression of Ideas:
    Students will be required to use the ability to revise texts to improve the effectiveness of written expressions and to meet specific rhetorical goals in the presented scenario.
Reading and Writing Scoring:
  • Scores will continue to be reported on a scale of 200-800 in 10-point increments.

There are no specific eligibility criteria for Indian students to take the SAT. Any high school student, including those from India, can register for the SAT exam.
A good SAT score is in the range of 1200 - 1400. Global Course students have scored up to 1560/ 1600. The average SAT score is around 1050.

You should take The SAT soon after your 10th board exams. All the mathematics concepts will be fresh in your mind if you sit for The SAT the same year you pass your 10th board.
The digital SAT now shorter passages. The students are given a question after every short passage. However, some questions will have information in the form of notes, tables, graphs, etc.
