Evidence-Based Reading & Writing and Math
Our Complete prep program has a baseline time of 40 hours total. This is the minimum recommended amount of time to get the most from our program.
The PSAT (Preliminary SAT) can be taken by students up to three times: typically in their freshman, sophomore, and junior years. However, only the score from the junior year will be eligible for National Merit Scholarship consideration. This makes the junior year test particularly important for students aiming for scholarships like the National Merit Scholarship.

Here's a breakdown of how it works:
  • Freshman and Sophomore Years: Students can take the PSAT as practice and to familiarize themselves with the test format. While scores from these years won’t be considered for scholarships, they can be useful for identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Junior Year: The PSAT taken during the junior year is the one that matters for National Merit Scholarship qualification and other scholarship programs that use PSAT scores. Many colleges and organizations also use this score for awarding merit-based aid.

Since the PSAT is only offered once a year, students must plan ahead if they want to take it multiple times before the junior year for practice.

Students can take the PSAT up to three times during high school.
Most students take the PSAT/NMSQT once-in 11th grade.
