JSAT Entrance Test Preparation for Jindal Global University

The Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test, commonly called JSAT, is an entrance assessment used by O.P. Jindal Global University for admission to selected undergraduate programmes. It measures a candidate’s English, numerical and analytical abilities. Global Course provides structured JSAT entrance test preparation through concept-based lessons, practice exercises, mock tests and personalised guidance.

JSAT is an online, multiple-choice examination administered through Pearson VUE. It contains 120 questions and must be completed within 120 minutes. Students can select an available date and time slot and take the AI-proctored examination online from home.

The test contains three equally divided sections:

The equal distribution makes balanced preparation important. Candidates should avoid concentrating on only one section while neglecting the others.
English Verbal Ability may include reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, sentence correction, para jumbles, synonyms, antonyms and contextual word usage. Questions assess how accurately students understand and interpret written information.

Logical Reasoning may cover arrangements, analogies, sequences, coding-decoding, syllogisms, statement and conclusion, critical reasoning, data sufficiency and analytical puzzles. Candidates must identify relationships and select logically valid answers.

Quantitative Skills questions may include percentages, ratios, averages, profit and loss, number systems, algebra, geometry, probability, statistics and data interpretation. The focus is generally on mathematical understanding and efficient problem-solving.
Students should begin with a diagnostic test to identify their current strengths and weaknesses. Verbal preparation should include daily reading, grammar revision and vocabulary development. While solving comprehension questions, candidates must use information from the passage instead of making outside assumptions.

Logical Reasoning improves through consistent exposure to different question patterns. Candidates should organise complicated information using diagrams, tables or short notes. Quantitative preparation requires strong fundamentals, formula revision and regular calculation practice.

With approximately one minute available per question, time management is critical. Students should solve easier questions first and return to difficult ones later. Every mock test must be followed by a detailed analysis of incorrect, unanswered and time-consuming questions.
The Global Course JSAT programme covers English Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Skills. Each section begins with concept-building lessons followed by topic-wise exercises, sectional tests and full-length mock examinations.

The course also includes vocabulary practice, reading comprehension techniques, speed calculation, question-selection strategies and time-management training. Personalised feedback helps students create an improvement plan based on their actual test performance.
JSAT performance is generally presented as an overall percentage. For several undergraduate business and finance programmes, Jindal Global University currently specifies a minimum overall JSAT score of 50%. However, requirements may vary according to the selected school and programme.

Meeting the minimum score does not guarantee admission. JGU follows a holistic process that may consider academic performance, supplementary application questions, entrance-test results and an online interview. Applicants should always confirm the exact requirement for their selected programme.
